A Storybook Christmas Awaits at Doddington Hall
Inspired by classic tales and age-old folklore, the creative team has dreamt up an immersive “Fairytale Christmas” that transforms the Hall into a world where stories step off the page.
Following the success of last year’s “Christmas Chorus,” this year’s spectacle spans three captivating floors. Each room unfolds a new chapter—an intricately crafted scene that celebrates a much-loved fairytale.
Behind the magic is an extraordinary community of staff, volunteers, local artists, and Lincoln College students who begin planning as early as January. Staying true to the estate’s sustainable ethos, the team uses natural, recycled, and upcycled materials—many foraged from the surrounding gardens and grounds. The result is a festive display that feels both lavish and grounded in the beauty of nature.
As you wander through the Hall, you’ll discover the fruits of 10 months of creativity, craftsmanship, and imagination, all coming together in one unforgettable celebration of seasonal storytelling. Though still a cherished family home, Doddington opens its doors to share the wonder and nostalgia of a true childhood Christmas.
