The Heights of Abraham (Matlock Bath, Derbyshire) has announced their Halloween grotto will return for a second year during October half term.
In true Burning Man tradition, a nine-metre high sculpture called Relevé will be set on fire and light up the night sky as the centrepiece of a celebratory burn event at Chatsworth to symbolise the ‘letting go’ and closing of the exhibition Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man.
Thousands of people attended the 2022 Newark Dragon Boat Festival on Sunday 18th September, which was a huge success once again. Sunday saw the third time the event has taken place, raising funds for Beaumond House Hopsice Care and The Children’s Bereavement Centre. The charities are extremely grateful for the support shown by the local community as well as the teams taking part, event sponsors and supporters and the event volunteers.
To celebrate Derbyshire Day, the award-winning attraction, Heights of Abraham, has partnered with new brand Derbyshire Tea. On this day the locally blended tea is being served in the Terrace Café, Vista Restaurant and the Tavern at the Heights.

Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man at Chatsworth is a large-scale exhibition in the publicly accessible 1000 acre park surrounding the house, which sees 12 monumental sculptures from Burning Man, going on display in the UK for the first time from 9 Apr to 1 Oct.
The dancing chef, who won the hearts and minds of the British public as he danced with Johannes Radebe on the BBC dancing competition, will appear at Nottinghamshire’s Clumber Park on Sunday 18 September.
