Organised by North Notts BID, the seventh annual event featured tribute performances celebrating K-Pop Demon Hunters, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys and Benson Boone, before Le Freak brought the afternoon to a close with the sounds of Chic and Nile Rodgers.
Sally Gillborn MBE, chief executive at North Notts BID, said: “It was brilliant to see Retford Market Square in full voice for our seventh Party in the Square, with families, friends and visitors coming together to enjoy an afternoon of free music, entertainment and family fun. There was such a lively atmosphere throughout the day and it was lovely to see people of all ages singing, dancing and enjoying themselves in the heart of the town.
“This year’s varied line-up had something for everyone, with tribute performances celebrating K-Pop Demon Hunters, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys and Benson Boone before Le Freak brought the afternoon to a close with the sounds of Chic and Nile Rodgers. It was also great to see so many people supporting Retford’s independent businesses, with local hospitality venues welcoming visitors and benefiting from the extra footfall.
