The event began with a remembrance service playing The Last Post, followed by Jan Goold, Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council, purchasing the first poppy to officially open the stall.
Long-time supporters Sharon Watson, Ken Childs and Martin Goodman were also in attendance.
