Nottingham Scores a Stylish New Sporting Destination as Pure Padel Unveils the City’s First Indoor Club
Monday 24th November 2025: Nottingham just became even more of a hotspot for fitness lovers as Pure Padel — the UK’s fastest-growing padel operator — throws open the doors to its brand-new, seven-court indoor club. It’s a milestone moment: not only is this Pure Padel’s sixth venue, but it’s also the first indoor padel spot to grace the city.
Tucked inside a beautifully restored Grade I–listed 1920s bus depot, the club blends architectural heritage with contemporary sport. Inside, players will find four doubles courts and three singles courts, purpose-built for both casual matches and high-energy competition. Beyond the courts, the venue has been designed as a social sanctuary, complete with a café-bar, pro shop, and modern changing facilities — a full lifestyle hub where fitness and community meet.
The arrival of Pure Padel Nottingham further elevates the city’s reputation as a national sporting powerhouse. Set opposite Notts County FC — the world’s oldest professional football club — and within reach of Nottingham Forest’s historic home and the iconic Trent Bridge cricket ground, the club sits at the epicentre of Nottingham’s dynamic athletic culture. Its location, just 10 minutes from Nottingham Train Station, makes it a convenient go-to for commuters, visitors, and locals.
“We’re delighted to be opening our sixth club — and Nottingham’s first indoor venue — in what is in many ways considered the UK’s most sporting city,” said Sammy Arora, Founder and Managing Director of Pure Padel. “It’s not lost on us just how much Nottingham and the East Midlands region craves its sport, which is why we’ve made the purposeful decision to transform this stunning, historic building into a modern space that befits modern-day Nottingham and the city’s passion for sport.
“This is a big moment for the city of Nottingham and the wider East Midlands — with a population that I have no doubt will fall fast for padel’s charms. I can’t wait to welcome the local community to play, train and compete at Pure Padel, as we continue on our journey to bring the sport to the biggest urban centres across the country.”
With Nottingham now part of the Pure Padel family, the company operates an impressive 33 courts across the UK — putting it on the cusp of becoming the country’s largest padel operator. Since launching its first site in Alderley Park back in October 2023, the brand has rapidly expanded with standout venues in Manchester City Centre, Darlington, Stockport and North Leeds.
The momentum isn’t slowing: construction is already well underway in Lightwater (opening February 2026), followed by major new clubs in Birmingham City Centre, Solihull, York and Glasgow.
Staying true to its belief in accessibility, Pure Padel runs entirely on a pay-to-play model, bookable through the Playtomic app from 7am to 10pm. The platform makes it easy for solo or first-time players to pair up with others at a similar level, helping create inclusive, sociable match-ups without the pressure of membership fees.
Highly qualified LTA-accredited coaches will also be on hand, offering tailored lessons for everyone from total beginners to seasoned competitors — ensuring Nottingham’s newest sports community has everything it needs to thrive.
