Nottingham Triathlon Club
Nottingham Triathlon Club scooped three awards, including East Midlands Club of the Year, in the Triathlon England Awards. The club, which has gone on to boast more than 100 members including Great Britain age group athletes, will now take part in a national contest to discover the best triathlon club in the country. Triathlon events incorporate swimming, cycling and running, meaning competitors have to learn a range of skills and develop strong all round fitness levels. Nottingham’s care leavers
The City’s Leaving Care Service are inviting young adults who have left the City’s care to come together to celebrate Care Leavers Week. Care Leavers Week is a national awareness week that runs from Wednesday 25 October until Wednesday 2 November. The Service will be welcoming young adults to an event during the week to celebrate the week and acknowledge their achievements. Over a lunch young care leavers will be able to find out what opportunities and help they can get from some of the city’s local and national organisations.
