On 12, 13 and 14 December, the historic Victorian music hall, the Malt Cross, will open its doors for a Christmas carol singalong, starting at 7pm with entry granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Commemorating 120 years of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s world-famous tale, Crime And Comedy Theatre Company present a brand-new stage adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles, touring the UK this autumn. Doctor Who stars Colin Baker (Doctor Who, BBC; The Brothers, BBC) and Terry Molloy (The Archers, BBC Radio 4; Doctor Who, BBC) will take to the stage in this classic detective tale.

More stalls, more crafts, more entertainment........stallholders are travelling from across the country including from Leicester, York, and Chesterfield, as well as a wide range of local vendors. Retford Town Hall will have craft stalls in the Ballroom, Council Chamber and the Buttermarket where there will be a Café supplied by the WI. Santa will be in his grotto in the Town Hall Chairman’s room after arriving and saying hello on stage at 12noon.
A brilliant display of quilts to complement the usual excellent pieces of artwork will be on display at the 2022 Babworth Arts Festival. Contributions from Retford U3A and individual quilters will test the ingenuity of organisers to display these works to their full effect.
